Creamy Pesto with Lemon and Sage

Creamy Lemon and Sage Pesto combines the herbaceous and slightly earthy flavour of sage with the citrus freshness of lemon. Its creamy texture makes it easy to incorporate into a variety of recipes, adding flavour without the need to prepare a sauce from scratch.

It can be used to toss with pasta such as linguine, tagliatelle or fusilli, thinned with a little of the pasta cooking water to achieve a smoother consistency. The combination of sage and lemon also works well as an accompaniment to chicken, turkey or other white meats, particularly when grilled or roasted.

In risottos, it can be added at the end of cooking to enhance the flavour and add extra creaminess. It can also be served on toasted bread, focaccia or crackers, used in sandwiches or included on a platter of appetisers.

Produced in Italy, it contains 43% rehydrated sage, 21% olive oil and lemon zest. It comes in a 135 g jar and, once opened, should be kept in the fridge.
